Role:

Welcome kids and their families and be able to provide additional information for a Sunday experience

 

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming Guests

  • Greet members and visitors with warmth and kindness at the welcome desk as they arrive, enter into Planning Center

  • Offer assistance to newcomers, such as directions to key areas (sanctuary, restrooms, children’s ministry, etc.)

  • Help with Check-In system in JKids

• Providing Information

  • Distribute bulletins, flyers, or other materials as needed

  • Answer basic questions about church services, programs, and events

• Creating a Positive Atmosphere

  • Be attentive, approachable, and maintain a cheerful demeanor

  • Pay attention to individuals who may seem lost or uncertain and offer help

• Assisting During the Service

  • Help latecomers enter their classrooms/services

  • Attend to Nursing Moms Room to provide intermittent support/security presence

• Post-Service Engagement

  • Thank attendees for coming as they leave

Qualifications:

• A friendly, approachable, and positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills

• A desire to serve others and reflect Christ’s love

• Punctual and reliable

• Knowledge of the church layout and programs (training provided)

 

Time Commitment Per Week:

1-2 hours/week (Arrive 30 minutes before service and stay 10-15 minutes after)

Commitment Period:

We ask that our volunteers in this role commit to serve in this capacity for 1 year
